Cancellation Policy

Important Notice

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our clients and our stylists. Please read the following guidelines carefully when booking your appointment.

Appointment Cancellations

We kindly request that all cancellations be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. This allows us to offer the time slot to another client and helps our stylists manage their schedules effectively.

  • 24+ hours notice: Full refund of any deposit paid, or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.
  • 12–24 hours notice: 50% of the deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee. The remaining balance may be applied toward a future appointment.
  • Less than 12 hours notice: The full deposit will be forfeited. This includes same-day cancellations.

No-Shows

If you do not arrive for your scheduled appointment and have not contacted us, this will be considered a no-show.

  • The full deposit will be forfeited for no-shows.
  • Repeated no-shows (2 or more) may result in a requirement to prepay in full for future bookings.
  • We allow a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals. After 15 minutes, the appointment may be cancelled and treated as a no-show.

Rescheduling

We're happy to accommodate schedule changes when possible:

  • Rescheduling requests made 24+ hours in advance are always free of charge.
  • Each appointment may be rescheduled up to 2 times. After the second reschedule, the booking will be treated as a cancellation.
  • Rescheduled appointments must be booked within 30 days of the original appointment date.

Deposits & Payments

To secure your appointment, a non-refundable deposit may be required at the time of booking:

  • Standard services (Hair Cuts, Nail Services): $25 deposit
  • Premium services (Wig Styling, Braiding): $50 deposit
  • Bridal packages: 50% deposit required at booking

Deposits are applied toward the total service cost. The remaining balance is due at the time of your appointment.

Refunds

We strive for complete client satisfaction. If you are unsatisfied with your service:

  • Please notify us within 48 hours of your appointment.
  • We will offer a complimentary correction service at no additional charge.
  • Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are at the discretion of management.
  • Products purchased are eligible for return within 7 days if unopened and in original condition.

Exceptions

We understand that life happens. Exceptions to this policy may be made in the following circumstances:

  • Medical emergencies (documentation may be requested)
  • Severe weather conditions or natural disasters
  • Salon-initiated cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances

In these cases, you will be offered a full refund or complimentary reschedule.

How to Cancel or Reschedule

By booking an appointment with Affairs of Beauty, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined in this cancellation policy.
